Academics

Dresden High School offers a well-rounded academic program designed to challenge students and prepare them for life after graduation. Our core courses include English, math, science, social studies, wellness, and computer literacy. Students can also explore a variety of interest areas through classes like Spanish, theatre arts, vocal music, and music history.

For those pursuing technical or dual-path options, DHS provides five career-technical programs: Agriculture, Business, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Science Education, and Integrated Systems Technology. Additional electives include Driver’s Education, ACT Prep, and advanced computer courses. Students can also take advantage of weighted classes such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology II, Advanced Algebra and Trigonometry, Precalculus, College-Bound English IV, and Spanish III.

Dresden High School is proud to be one of the few high schools in Tennessee with a fully functioning Livestock Production Facility on campus—offering hands-on learning experiences you won’t find everywhere.

Students may also earn college credit through dual enrollment opportunities with Jackson State Community College and Bethel University.

Alma Mater

High on Dresden's southern border,
Reared against the sky,
Proudly stands our Alma Mater,
As the years go by.

Forward ever be our watchword,
Conquer and prevail,
Hail to thee, our Alma Mater,
Dresden High, All Hail.
