Academics
Dresden High School offers an extensive curriculum to challenge and prepare students. The core curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, wellness, and computer. The curriculum also includes Spanish, theater arts, music history, and vocal music for College Path and Dual Path students. Technical and Dual Path students also have five areas available for career-technical majors: agriculture, business, family and consumer science, health science education, and integrated systems technology. Several elective classes are available: driver’s education and the newly added classes in advanced computer and ACT prep. The weighted courses offered include chemistry, physics, Biology II, advanced algebra and trigonometry, precalculus, College Bound English IV, and Spanish III.
Dresden High School is also one of the few high schools in the State of Tennessee that has a full functioning Livestock Production Facility on campus.
Dresden High School also offers College courses through Jackson State Community College and Bethel University.
