Home of the 2016 1A Football State Championship!

Dresden High School was built in the 1970s and is located on Highway 22 in Dresden, Tennessee. We are two and one-half miles from the court square. Dresden High School is a four-year public high school. As a result of consolidation in 1997-'98, the major feeder school is Dresden Middle School.

The school facilities include 30 academic classrooms, three science laboratories, five vocational technical areas, a theater, a gymnasium, chorus room, football stadium and field house, a cafeteria, a library media center, a guidance area and several administrative offices. Dresden High School is also one of the few High Schools in the State of Tennessee that has a full functioning Livestock Production facility on campus.  Dresden High School students attend school for 180 days a year. The school day begins at 7:42 a.m. and ends at 2:42 p.m. The school schedule is planned around a 7 period 50 minutes each class. The teacher's day is from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., with extra help sessions available some mornings and afternoons.

IMPORTANT

Dresden High School Parent Teacher Conference will be Thursday, October 1 from 12:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.  With the current situation with Covid, we need the following information in advance in order to plan and for a safe Parent Teacher Conference.  Please respond to the following questions by this Thursday, September 24 either by direct communication with teachers or have your child tell each of their teachers this information.

 

1.  Do you plan to attend Parent Teacher Conference?

2.  Do you have technology available to meet virtually for remote access, such as Zoom, if needed?

Water Bottles: A Regular Sized (16 or 20 oz) Water Bottle Is Allowed And Encouraged For Your Child. Water Bottles Must Be Clear And Disposable

Traffic Flow AM:

Student Drop Off: Enter school entrance into the east school drive (closest to football field), proceed to the front entrance of the school to drop off student and exit the west school entrance. Parents do not enter student parking lot in front of the school.  Buses may be unloading students at the main school entrance at the same time. Buses have the right-a-way.


Student  Drivers : Students will not park in the bottom two rows of the student parking lot or against the football fence.  Student Drivers enter school through the gym entrance next to the football field.

Traffic Flow PM:

Student Pick-Up: Enter school entrance into the east school drive (closest to the football field), proceed to the front entrance of the school and stop at the top of the hill and your child will come to your car.  Buses will be at the front school entrance and loading students.  Buses will be dismissed first and then student pick up cars.

Student Drivers

Student Drivers will be dismissed after buses and student pickup cars.  Student Drivers must exit towards the football field, travel up to the top of the drive along the school front entrance and exit out the west school entrance. 

Lunch Money

If lunch money is sent to school with your child, please put it inside an envelope labeled with your child’s name, student ID number, and amount enclosed. Lunch money can be deposited in students’ account by downloading the Schoolcafe app on your phone.

No outside lunch will be delivered to students.

 

**Ballgame Reminder:

Everyone attending will have their temperature taken at the gate and must be wearing a mask.  All fans must wear facial coverings if within 6 feet of the others and maintain social distancing.  (six feet, or the equivalent of two empty seats between themselves and other fans) from anyone other than those living in the same household.
